    I am planning to conduct a nutrition and mortality survey using SMART Methodology. I haven’t used the data entry individual level before. Why is the option lately preferred than the data entry household level and where can I find the tool for individual entry level?

    The Mortality Data Entry individual level is recommended over the data entry household, which is a summary of data collected per household. In data entry individual level, data for each household member is entered. Other than the Crude Death Rate, this option enables determination of;

    1. Death rates for any age range.
    2. Death rates by fixed age intervals.
    3. Death rates by sex.

    In addition to the above, ENA produces confidence intervals, design effect for each mortality rate and demographic data such as age pyramids and migrations for the surveyed population.

    The data entry individual level form can be obtained from ENA. From the Extras menu, Forms for Demography and Mortality option select SMART Standard form.
